A Word From Our Owner, Paul Trautmann
“I wasn’t born into the remodeling industry, but the remodeling industry was born into me. Early in life, we all leave home with aspirations of what we want to do in life. Who we are is not yet determined — much less what we are destined to become. I imagined a life in law enforcement, so I left home and went into school believing my life was meant to be in service to others.
While working as a police officer for a few years, my life took a different path. I was introduced to the world of remodeling and that is where I truly found my calling. Since 1993, I have been involved in the remodeling business, replacing windows, siding and roofs for thousands of homeowners. In 2003, Timberland Exteriors was born as my own roofing and remodeling company.
My path truly was to live a life of service, just not in the way I had originally planned — but where I found my love and passion exists.
It was my father who instilled in me values of honor and character. Do what you do, say what you say and mean what you mean. Do more than what is expected and life will never lead you wrong. He mentored me by this old-world craftsmanship and taught me the true meaning of quality and excellence.
Over the years, those values and lessons taught to me served as the foundation that formed the guiding principle that permeates every aspect of our company and the belief system that is shared by all members of my team and the core values our company carries to this day.”
